Moog Ladder

FiltersmoogladderModerate CPU

Characterful 4-pole Moog-style lowpass — cutoff + resonance.

What it does

Resonant 4-pole (24 dB/oct) Moog-style lowpass filter.

Wraps daisysp::MoogLadder (DaisySP-LGPL). Cutoff + Resonance update at audio rate, so both can be modulated.

Parameters

  • Cutoff (Hz)

    cutoff
    Default 1000Range 20 … 18000

Corner frequency in Hz — frequencies above it are rolled off at 24 dB/oct. This number is the value baked in at boot; wiring the Cutoff port overrides it every sample.

  • Resonance

    resonance
    Default 0.3Range 0 … 1

Feedback around the four-pole ladder, emphasising the region right at Cutoff. Low values add a gentle peak; near 1 the filter self-oscillates into a sine at the cutoff pitch.

The Moog sound — fatter resonance than the Svf Filter. Cutoff/Resonance are the defaults used when a port is unwired; wire a knob into either to sweep at runtime. Resonance near 1 self-oscillates.
